The Cut-Off Men

2012

A multifaceted project that included organizing a team of 9 strangers that had been cut off from the game of baseball in some way and participating in a Major League Baseball Tryout together. Along with the tryout, Grand Central Art Center converted their street level gallery into a Major League clubhouse, custom uniforms were made by a local Santa Ana uniform company, a public dinner and baseball autographing session was held, and a documentary film produced.

This project could not have been possible without the generous support of John Spiak and the kind folks at Grand Central Art Center.
