I made this video as a student during a residency at Oxbow School of the Arts. An endurance piece, I gave random strangers in Saugatuck, MI piggy back rides from point A to point B until I couldn’t anymore. I wasn’t sure why I did it at the time and I’m still not sure today, but I think it may be some sort of basis for the art I want to put in the world: neighborly, helpful, intimate, comical, transporting, multigenerational, poetic, playful, strong.
